I was gonna write a review for N.O.V.A., because I’ve become obsessed with it, but I figure it would be better to just wait for AppVee to review it, themselves, and sure enough, they did.
If you haven’t already, go ahead and grab this game. This review is pretty spot on (although lacking some of the in-depth awesomeness of the game*).
*said in-depth awesome-ness
- controls are pretty perfect. and if you have some odd quirk with them, you can move them around to wherever you want them. seriously.
- there’s actually a story and it’s somewhat interesting
- multi-player works wonderfully (at least in my experiences)
- seeing as this is going to be one of Gameloft’s cash cows, you can probably expect a good deal of in-app purchasable upgrades like more weapons, and level packs.
- did I mention how great the multiplayer is? I hate shooters and even I’m having a fun time with it.
