So what’s going on with Spenderbot?
Well… I’ve been working on it. It’s coming along nicely.
After playing with / feild-testing the app, I came to the conclusion that there were too many buttons and the whole interface needed to be scaled back. I’m trying to avoid a Twittelator-like setup, sacrificing usability for a longer feature list.
The important stuff is in there. Accounts, budgets, transactions, locations, payees, etc. The interface has passed the “Grandma Test”.
So what’s left?
Not too much. A few screens I need to throw in and some logic to detect when your connection has dropped and I should be ready to start the submission process.
My plan is to release the app to beta users right after I submit the app to Apple and then get started on the iPad and Desktop apps (it’s a suite of tools, you see).
There are a ton of screenshots on my Ember page and I post random bits on my Twitter, if you’re curious how it’s going and need visuals.
