I’ve been following Square for a while, now and I’m excited that their iPhone app is out.

Here’s the gist of it. The app is FREE. You install it, create an account and request one of the FREE Square dongles. They send you this thing that plugs right into your iPhone or iPad headphone jack and you’re able to take credit cards anywhere.

They take a small percentage of your sale, like any credit merchant would, but the app and the awesome attachment are totally free.

This is going to be great. I plan on using it for Craigslist sales and a few other things, but I can see how this would be super handy for my buddy, Nick, when he does his annual dance recital video gigs.
