So here’s a sneak peek at the new transaction entry screen. I stripped out a lot of features and focused on making it so you can add a transaction as quickly as possible.
The most notable changes are the number pad amount entry and the budget selector. Now, you have a giant number pad to quickly enter an amount. Instead of having to access another screen and select a budget, you now just swipe the budget selection area to select a budget.
I’ve also removed the location selection screen. Frankly, it was a cool idea that got kind of confusing kind of fast. So, now, you just enter where you’re spending money and your phone’s auto-completion will kick in to make that a bit faster.
I may bring back location selection at some poing. I’m hearing this is just plain confusing to a lot of people, so it’s gone until I can come up with a better way to handle this.
So now, to add a transaction, you just punch in your number, enter in any extra fields you may need or want and then select a budget (or don’t), and you’re done.
So much faster.
This will be in the Spenderbot 1.1 update, which should be done sometime next week and submitted next Friday.
For a comparison, here’s the 1.0 transaction entry screen.
