Wedding app

Actually had a dream about this and now I’m blogging it so I don’t forget it.

So here goes…

I got this idea for a one-off app1 for a wedding. Instead of (or in addition to) placing disposable cameras on the tables, the couple could also have an app available to capitalize on the fact that most of the guests will be strapped with iPhones.

It would be really simple, too. Minimal features.

  • Guests could snap shots with the app and the shots would be submitted to a photo pool where all the other guests could view, save, and share the pictures2.
  • Guests could shoot their own congratulations videos through the app and they would be submitted to the bride & groom, as well as made available for other guests to view (maybe).
  • Everything would be timestamped and geo-tagged so it can be played back in realtime OR placed on a map and combined with the compass for some awesome augmented reality event-reliving.
