Me + Instapaper

So… I’ve decided I’m gonna randomly ramble on about apps I have on my iPod. Because, frankly, I don’t “blog” enough to really be a blogger, but I have things I’d like to say every once in a while (which is why I choose Tumblr, of course).

SO HERE GOES!

I have Instapaper on my iPod touch and have used it only a handful of times since I installed it many months ago. The idea of saving articles to read later seems odd to me, as the advent of this new-age-live-all-day-blog-about-it-at-night craze is that you don’t need to share a lot to get your point across. Everything is hyper-linked, instantly referenced, widely known, and already consumed by the time the reader reads your blog. All you’re left to do is put some sort of spin on it to put it in context.

I digress. The point is, blogs are usually short. Even the “long” blogs are short and can be taken in, thoroughly, in a matter of minutes. Given the brevity of blog entries, one must ask themselves if they are really so busy that they can’t stop to read their entries during work or before the leave for the day.
