Twitter was GOLDEN last night. Here are my favorites

Osama Bin Laden’s (fake) Twitter

Wait, what?

I wonder if Osama bin Laden will keep releasing tapes. You know, like Tupac.

sudo rm -rf /bin/laden

Explanation for those that don’t use Unix ever (99% of you). sudo rm -rf is the command to recursively force remove a directory. So this is the unix command to remove bin Laden

Sean Heber

This is the best episode of Celebrity Apprentice yet!

Obama: “Anyone else wanna see my birth certificate?” Drops mic, walks away.

All joking aside, this is a pretty awesome event for a lot of reasons. I know that some are concerned with what happens next, but let’s worry about that later. Right now, there are families rejoicing and soldiers to give heaps of thanks to.

And then there’s this…

God does not take delight in the death of the evil. Neither should we. It’s a happy day for Americans but what day kind of day as believers?

Its sad how many Christians are excited that there is now a man in hell

As a Christian (yup!), it’s somewhat conflicting. Spite what some “believers” on TV would have you… er… beleive, we don’t really get down on knowing someone is eternally damned, even of really really bad guys. In fact, it’s kind of the opposite of what we’re all about.

At the same time we’re not naive to war and the need for evil to be stopped. Ideally, we’d like to have seen Bin Laden come to Christ, repent, and spend the rest of his days sharing the truth with his brainwashed/loyal followers.

But that’s not what happened.

*sigh & exhale*

We all have a long week ahead of us as this kind of wears off and the serious reality of things sinks in. But for now, let who wants to celebrate celebrate, who wants to pray pray, who wants to feel relieved feel relieved, and not give in to cynicism and bitterness.
