Alright. Bed time.
Fun Fact: This was finished four hours ago. I woke up and decided I hated it, then re-did it.
Basically, instead of a flat comp, I threw a camera in, a light source, and a slightly noise-y “wall” behind the now-3D/spatial comp. THEN, I added a little dust that you can’t tell is there… until I turn it off. I also re-cut the video playing in the lenses to be a touch more emotional — because it’s cut to Coldplay and those dudes don’t mess around when it comes to heartstring-tugging — and added easing to all of the key frames.
Details, people!
I’m probably definitely unstable. Moving on…
Phase two complete. Now to drop this bad boy in the master comp and throw it on the Vimeos.
So many layers…
You see that shiny ladder there? I didn’t realize it when I was shooting, but it’s very shiny.
As you can imagine, it’s been a headache in post production, causing lots of “sizzle”.
After racking my brain for almost an hour, it occurred to me that the thing doesn’t move.
womp. womp.
10 minutes in Motion and I have a lovely matte key effect that I can throw on all of these shots.
