fcpxtips:

1.0.3 was released, including the following
Multicam editing with automatic sync and support for mixed formats, mixed frame rates, and up to 64 camera angles
Advanced chroma keying with controls for color sampling and edge quality
Media relink for manual reconnnect of projects and Events to new media
Ability to import and edit layered Photoshop graphics
XML 1.1 with support for primary color grades, effects parameters, and audio keyframes
Beta version of broadcast monitoring with third-party PCIe and Thunderbold I/O devices
As many have suggested, Apple is going feature-by-feature, restoring what they feel is more important. Many don’t realize that Final Cut Pro X required an entire recode and needed to ship “light” to meet their launch deadline.
I don’t know about you, but multicam and manual reconnect are the big things here for me. The chroma key would have been great last week, but Motion got me through it. The layered Photoshop images is also great, as I work with those a bit.
To get the update, just open up the App Store and hit the updates tab.
Have you given any of these features a go, yet? What do you think?

I love how this update came out JUST a week after I needed all of these features.

You see that shiny ladder there? I didn’t realize it when I was shooting, but it’s very shiny.
As you can imagine, it’s been a headache in post production, causing lots of “sizzle”.
After racking my brain for almost an hour, it occurred to me that the thing doesn’t move.
womp. womp.
10 minutes in Motion and I have a lovely matte key effect that I can throw on all of these shots.

Anonymous asked: I happen to think you are one of those most fantastic, and lovely human beings I've ever encountered.

Guhh. Thank you! I’m only blushing a little bit.
